Kevon Shea on Poison Ivy Crack, Icicle Creek Canyon, Leavenworth, 1997.

Poison Ivy Crack (5.9) is short, perhaps 30 feet long, so getting a good shot was challenging. I ended up actually rappelling down just a few feet and hanging out as far as I could to get an angle looking down and in toward the climber. I shot a whole roll of film on the route, and this shot of Kevon Shea placing gear was the most compelling. Climbing magazine's photo editor selected it for a feature on Icicle Creek Canyon.
