Todd Skinner on City Park, Lower Town Wall, Index, 1985.

One of many, many photos I took of Todd Skinner working on free climbing City Park. This one shows Todd making the opening moves on the shield, where the crack soon thins down to nearly nothing. It was a cloudy day, so the photo is soft due to diffuse ambient light, which I think makes it better. This one was picked for a Seattle P-I pictorial on Index climbing, along with several Larry Kemp photos, which was an honor. Larry put so much more work into his photos, and he took a lot of superior shots of Index climbing, but I like to think this one is right up there with Larry's best.
