A totally posed shot of Sean Courage on the opening moves of Roger’s Tower (5.8), Careno Crag, Icicle Creek Canyon, Washington. He’s not even on belay; I tied him off to an anchor then wandered off to the side to get this angle. I’m usually a purist when it comes to taking climbing photos, trying to capture the action as it actually happens, but this shot was too perfect and neither of us really wanted to climb the route, so we set up a shot, then went to climb some of the better routes at Careno Crag.
